The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr Chidi Lloyd on Friday 20th January 2022 played host to the representatives of Rumuepirikom in Obio-Akpor LGA and Rundele in Emohua LGA, to broker peace between the two Ikwerre communities over the murder of Better Nwabueze; a maiden from Rundele who was killed by her Rumuepirikom boyfriend, Prince Udenna Owabie popularly known as J.Boy in 2018.
Dr. Lloyd thanked representatives of both communities for honouring his invitation upon the short notice and agreeing to let go of the past in the interest of peace and unity, and for the sake of the future generations.
The meeting was rescheduled to a later date for the conclusion of the peace process and reconciliation of both communities.
